Start Your December with a Clear Game Plan
Post on December 9, 2025
December is one of the most exciting and overwhelming months of the year. With Christmas gatherings, travel plans, gift shopping and year-end work deadlines all happening at once, it’s incredibly easy to feel pulled in every direction. That’s why the best thing you can do for yourself is to begin the month with a clear, intentional game plan.
Before the month picks up speed, set aside 20–30 minutes to outline your December priorities. Start with a simple question: What absolutely needs to be completed before the year ends? It might be finalising reports, wrapping up projects, or preparing for early January launches. Once those tasks are identified, separate them from items that can wait until after the holidays.
Next, look at your social and personal commitments. Office parties, family gatherings and holiday travel all take up mental and physical space—so factor them in. When your calendar reflects both work and festive activities, you’re less likely to over-commit or feel guilty about taking time off.
When you enter December prepared, you create space for both productivity and joy. You become intentional with your time instead of reactive, and you’ll end the month feeling accomplished instead of overwhelmed.
The best gift you can give yourself this season? A clear plan.
